I’ve known Erik & Hanne for a while already. When they asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was very happy to say ‘Yes!’
As Hanne is a creative genius, she designed their own wedding invitation. Lots of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months were spent in making decorations for their wedding, but it was definitely worth the result.
One of their passions is to go to youth camps. And that is why they took their hiking boots as an extra accessory during the photo shoot, as it truly shows one of their personalities. They are always in for some adventure. They love to make the best of every moment no matter what the situation looks like. Not a single boring moment with them, always fun guaranteed. They are truly amazing to hang out with.
The day started where I grew up in, Ieper – a beautiful historic town in the West of Belgium, close to the French border. After the civil wedding, we drove to the Strohoeve, an absolutely outstanding wedding location. The Strohoeve is an authentic stud-farm, where they breed horses. It has grown from someone’s passion to a huge company today. So they literally got married in a stable. For the photo shoot, we went to a park nearby, where the stunning autumn colors were totally showing off.
They finished the evening in style by choosing an unusual dessert… BEN & JERRY’S! They had different flavors where the people could choose from. Everybody loved the concept, so did I! By the time the opening dance was finished and the dance party had started, was about time for Erik to change outfits. For everyone that knows him well was not so surprised about the new outfit: short pants and comfortable shoes. Wedding clothes aren’t mostly the easiest and comfy clothing right?! It didn’t take long before everyone was on the dance floor showing their best moves! The party went on until the early morning. A great day to look back to!
I am so thankful for them both as a couple and as friends. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your wedding day and inviting me into your caring, hospitable and funny families.
